American Seth Baker Died Fighting for Russia in 2024 - It Took Two Years for Them to Report It

Seth William Baker, a 23-year-old American from Arizona, died fighting for Russia's army in Ukraine in early September 2024 - three months after signing his contract with Russia's Ministry of Defense. According to Ukraine's "I Want to Live" project, his death is only surfacing now, two years later, after Russian Z-Telegram channels began mentioning it. He had officially been carried as missing in action since September 27, 2024.

A Marine Discharged Over the Vaccine

Baker, born September 7, 2000, previously served in the US Marine Corps. By his own account, he was discharged after refusing the COVID-19 vaccine during the pandemic that killed 1.2 million Americans. He then tried to join a police academy but failed to score high enough on the qualifying test.

On the video published in 2024 Seth William Baker is with Benjamin Stimson - a UK national who plays an essential role in Russian military recruitment of foreign citizens. 

Eventually Baker converted to Orthodox Christianity and moved to Russia, where he signed a military contract on June 2, 2024, at age 23. Baker was sent to the 1442nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 6th Motorized Rifle Division - a unit known for heavy losses, whose soldiers' wives have repeatedly posted public appeals about it. Three months after signing his contract, Russia's army became his last posting. His death was noted in Russia by only one Telegram channel with roughly 1,500 subscribers, and only two years after it happened.

The "I Want to Live" project notes this is happening even as the Kremlin publicly courts the White House: American citizens lured to Russia by its propaganda are sent into so-called "meat assaults" alongside mercenaries from Africa and Asia. Some are killed by their own side. Russell Bentley, another American, was tortured and killed by servicemen of Russia's 5th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade, who then dumped his body in a mine shaft.
